PDF to Audiobook AI — chapter-aware narration from any manuscript PDF
Drop in a PDF — a draft, a Kindle export, or a print-ready interior — and Audibloom auto-strips headers, footers, and page numbers, restores paragraph flow, detects chapters, and produces a chaptered M4B audiobook. No copy-paste, no manual cleanup.

Built for the messiness of PDFs
Most TTS tools can't handle a real PDF. We do.
PDFs were designed for print, not for narration. Audibloom's parser was built specifically for the artifacts that wreck other audiobook tools.
Auto-strip headers, footers, and page numbers
Audibloom's PDF parser detects repeated header/footer patterns by frequency, not by position, so it works on print interiors, KDP exports, and academic PDFs alike.
Restore paragraph flow across page breaks
PDF text comes out broken at every page boundary. We rejoin paragraphs into proper prose before sending anything to the TTS engine — so narration doesn't pause mid-sentence.
Heading-based chapter detection
When a PDF has no TOC, we infer chapters from heading-style fonts and "Chapter N / Prologue / Part" patterns. Override any chapter break in the editor before generation.
Footnote and inline-reference handling
Audibloom can skip footnotes, inline citations, or page numbers entirely — or read them as parenthetical asides. Configure once per book.
Quote and dialogue detection
Even in PDFs without explicit speaker tags, we identify dialogue and assign distinct character voices, so a 300-page novel doesn't sound monotone.
ACX-ready M4B output
Chaptered M4B with embedded cover art, LUFS-normalized to ACX targets, peak-limited, silence-padded. Drop it directly into ACX, Apple Books, or Findaway Voices.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Does Audibloom work on scanned PDFs?
For scanned PDFs (image-based), you'll get the best results by running OCR first (Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY, or any modern reader does this). Audibloom focuses on text-based PDFs to keep narration accuracy high. OCR support is on the roadmap.
How big a PDF can I upload?
Up to 100 MB on all paid plans, which covers basically every novel-length PDF including illustrated editions. If your PDF is larger, contact us — we can usually optimize it for you in minutes.
Can I keep the original chapter titles?
Yes. Once we detect chapters from heading patterns, you see the proposed chapter list and can rename, merge, or split any chapter before generation. The chapter titles also become embedded chapter markers in the M4B.
What about PDFs with multiple columns?
We detect column layouts and read the content in proper reading order — left column then right column, page by page. Multi-column academic and journal-style PDFs work out of the box.
Can I edit the text after upload before generation?
Yes. After parsing, you see every chapter as plain text in our editor. Fix any OCR or formatting artifacts, drop in pronunciation overrides, and only then generate the audio.
