Novel to Audiobook AI — a full cast for your characters

Audibloom reads your novel, identifies every speaking character, splits dialogue from narration, and assigns each character a distinct voice. You stay in control: recast any character, lock pronunciations, and re-render any chapter independently.

Built for fiction

The first audiobook tool that actually understands your characters

General TTS tools force you to copy-paste each line and pick a voice manually. Audibloom does that for you in seconds — and lets you edit the cast like a director.

Auto character casting

Our LLM pipeline reads every paragraph, infers the speaker, and proposes a complete cast list. Most novels need only a few manual corrections after the auto-cast pass.

Dialogue vs narration split

Every line is tagged as narration, dialogue, or interior thought — so the narrator voice handles description while character voices handle dialogue, with proper pacing and pause shaping.

One-click recast

Don't like a voice? Recast a character globally with one click. Audibloom only re-renders the lines that character speaks — not the whole book.

Pronunciation dictionary

Lock the pronunciation of every character name, place name, and made-up word once. The dictionary applies across every chapter and every voice.

Edit-and-regenerate per chapter

Catch a typo on chapter 14? Fix it and re-render only chapter 14. Cached audio for the other 23 chapters stays untouched. Iteration is fast and cheap.

ACX-ready M4B output

When you're happy, export a chaptered M4B with embedded cover art, ACX-compliant LUFS levels, and proper silence padding. Spotify, Apple Books, Kobo, Findaway — all accept it.

Why ElevenLabs alone won't ship your novel

ElevenLabs makes the best individual voices on the market. But shipping a multi-character audiobook means turning 80,000 words into a chaptered M4B with the right voice on every line — and that's not what ElevenLabs is for.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How accurate is the character detection?

Very accurate for fiction with clear dialogue tags ("she said," "Mark replied"). For unattributed dialogue ("It's not safe."), we use surrounding context to attribute speakers, which usually gets 80–90% right on first pass. You can override any line's speaker before generation.

How many distinct voices can a single book have?

No hard cap on the Author Pro and Studio plans. We routinely test books with 30+ named characters. The Creator plan caps at 1 narrator voice.

What about an unreliable narrator or first-person POV?

First-person novels work great — the "narrator" is your protagonist's voice, and other characters get their own voices for dialogue. Configure this in the cast editor before generation.

Can I use my own voice for a character?

Yes, on the Studio plan. Upload a 30–60 second clean sample, name it, and assign it to any character (including the narrator). Cloned voices use the same character casting and pronunciation rules.

How long does a novel take to generate?

A typical 80,000-word novel produces about 9 hours of audio and finishes in 30–60 minutes on the Author Pro queue. Studio plan gets priority queue access for faster turnaround.
